[Feature Request] Delete browsing data on quit with exceptions

Open quantenzitrone opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

I have been using SmartCookieWeb Preview fo a while now and it is amazingly good. I love the tab and bookmark UI. Recently I found a thread on reddit, where someone rendered the Rickroll video in pure CSS which was supposed to be ressource heavy and other commenters reported it crashing Chrome on desktop. SmartCookieWeb Preview had no issues.💪

One feature i am actually missing on all mobile browsers, is automatic deletion of history, cookies and site data on quit. Yes Fennec has this quit button but its awful and Firefox Focus/Klar are also not optimal, because their tab and history management are crap. Furthermore none of them has a "exceptions" feature like the desktop firefox.

Since when does desktop Firefox have an "exception" feature for clear on exit? This is something I really need there and I have not found a solution to it.

Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Cookies and Site Data -> Manage Exceptions...

There you can put any domain, that will be ignored by the Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed option.

Thanks, however that was not what I saw.

I forget what it actually did, however when searching online and opening Mozilla's forums and Bugzilla instance, it looked like what I actually saw hand was the intended behavior, a "it's not a big, it's a feature" situation.
