[Android app] Search not working properly

Open Android-X13 opened this issue 3 years ago • 5 comments

When I open a Calc document and search for a string that exists inside the current visible area, I can see the cell that contains the string is immediately highlighted.

If I search however for a string that exists beyond the current viewport, there's no way to know whether the string was found or not. Only if I scroll down inside the document until the part where the string is, I can see that indeed it was found and the containing cell was highlighted, but this defeats the purpose of the search function.

Expected behavior Normally when a string is found, the document's view should automatically scroll down to show the first occurrence (and so on, for any next occurrences).

This issue seems to have been fixed.

I cannot reproduce it using the Collabora Office 21.11.3.6 git hash:eb73aa34

@Android-X13 please can you update and test again?

Hi @Ezinnem, I just checked with Collabora Office 21.11.3.6 but the same thing happens as described above. The string is highlighted but I can verify this only if I scroll down until said string.

Tested on a Samsung Galaxy S10
