I am having the same issue as well. Identical problem. Media is open and paused, computer goes to sleep. When I wake the computer and resume the media no sound....

Sorry for the delay. I can confirm setting the audio device to a specific audio device instead of auto select fixes the problem!!! Thanks Kradear!!
