Washington state clearing backlog
Washington state reports it's clearing a significant backlog of cases, deaths and hospitalizations:

Friday, March 4, 2022: Due to prior slowdowns in our data systems during the Omicron surge, DOH is still experiencing delays in reporting cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. We are clearing these backlogged cases, hospitalizations, and deaths as resources permit. The COVID-19 Epidemiological Curves tab is the most accurate representation of COVID-19 activity and is updated daily as new cases are identified and duplicates are resolved.
DOH has identified a reporting discrepancy between the CDC COVID Data Tracker and the DOH COVID-19 Dashboard. DOH is working closely with the CDC to address the issue. However, the correct data likely will not be available until next week. In the meantime, please use caution when reviewing U.S. COVID-19 Community Levels by County, which underestimates COVID-19 levels in some Washington counties.
