That would be one-time sort. Some people use the "keep sorted" feature to not have to press the sort button manually. "keep sorted" and sort-by-time-remaining are in conflict during playback.

You can already select a custom playback speed for each subscription. Go to the podcast screen and press the settings icon there.

I don't think there needs to be a lot of UX design. It could be just another option on that settings popup.

Instead of a manual retry button, I think it would be better if AntennaPod retried automatically. Issue #1250 already covers this.
