DateView with colored background gets unset on click.

I am coloring certain dates with different colors which correspond to different events,but the colored dates lose their backgroud color when clicked.Is this the default behaviour? The custom colored dates should retain their colors on click!!. ezgif com-video-to-gif

I switched from library to this one due to performance issues.i already have an application in beta on the play store but i have decided not to release the app purely due to performance considerations. Though i cannot force you on removing the bug but at least you can give a time frame.
