Feature Request: Integrating AzGovViz with ESLZ

Open wayneme75 opened this issue 3 years ago • 6 comments

Add the capability to deploy AzGovViz through the reference architecture like we deploy the AzOps accelerator.. this gives the opportunity to track changes, maintain platform documentation, review policies (assigned and retired), have visibility in RBAC..

Describe the solution you'd like

Thanks @wayneme75 for logging this. Could you also provide a example of how you would want this hosted and managed?

As ideally this needs to be stored on an accessible website for authenticated users to access within an organisation. Also this would mean a pipeline needs to be ran from somewhere with a SPN etc. with relevant permissions over the hierarchy to be able to produce the HTML output.

Just looking for what you may see as "accepted" by yourself and customers as a solution here at a high level. 👍👍

AzGovViz now supports GH. There are a variety of ways that I see this potentially coming together. #1 having a blade in the reference architecture deployment which leads the customer to the GH repo for AzGovViz to deploy for visibility... this may be the easiest option, no technical integration but rather a link to the deployment #2 more complex integration could be at the time of enabling AzOps accelerator in the portal you also enable AzGovViz. @JulianHayward would be able to provide guidance on what is needed.

This implementation would round out the experience of building the LZ, connecting GH for IaC and policy management and then the granular visibility for ongoing operations.
