TVout hangs (no output) simply adding a line of code
hello, I'm having some issues related with the use of TVout.
In few words: I have a working environment, with a working composite output. I simply add a line of code (or few lines of code) not directly related with the TV output, and it stops to work. It can happen with a simple variable assignment, an if / endif condition, etc., it's totally random. Sometimes, slightly modifying the syntax is enough to make it to work.
So I'm wondering if it could be some timing issue that prevent from the TVout to keep the right frequency / etc.
Any idea? Is there any instruction / system refresh / etc. I could try?
It's most likely a memory unsafety issue (or you've run out of memory). Try pushing C-strings to PROGMEM, avoid String operations.
But generating the signal on AVRs is already very very fragile, if you need to do a lot of work you probably have to disable the video signal during that.
