Logitech Plugin does not resume after Windows 11 goes to sleep

Open GallopingCow opened this issue 4 years ago • 8 comments

I have not been able to test on a machine running Windows 10, but on my Windows 11 machine with a Logitech G910 keyboard and G900 mouse, I have to either cycle the Logitech Device Provider, or Disable/Enable the Logitech Plugin entirely, any time my computer resumes from a sleep state, in order to reactivate the lighting on my devices.

They do not revert to any G Hub lighting, and simply go dark until I uncheck the box on either the Device Provider, or the Plugin Enabled box in the Artemis Settings > Plugins page.

This does not seem to be an issue for my Razer Firefly mousepad, as it lights back up and behaves as expected.

I tested it in the newest update and it works for me now.

I have gotten mixed results since the update, but have not had time to sit down and document the behavior. I believe it only "woke up" correctly one time, and every other time my keyboard stays blacked out. I may have to attempt a clean install to see if that corrects the issue for me. It may also be an unrelated issue due to a "blackout" profile I enable after a certain period of idle time.

I will test further and report back. Thanks for publishing the update though! I was super excited to see that change come through so quickly.

Hey guys, sorry for not responding here. I've been reading this though (hence the change)

If it doesn't reliably work it might need a bigger delay before turning off an on after the system wakes up. If you do run into issues with it please provide logs and maybe I can see what's going on :)

Cheers, Robert

Hi there,

I have a Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro L RGB on Windows 10 21H1 and I also have the Artemis non-responsive symptom after waking the PC from sleep. I usually have to reopen Artemis for it to start working again (a very small sacrifice!)

I tried disabling the plugin and things went a bit nuts in the prefs, the plugin disappeared entirely and I had to cycle the Cooler Master control plugin - I couldn't do this after disabling the checkbox, I had to close and reopen Artemis as it was stuck with the checkbox enabled.

Then, after an Artemis restart, I noticed no keyboard was shown in the editor though for the preset. Eventually after restarting Artemis, the keyboard was then detected in Device Management, and Artemis immediately found it a second time. However only one keyboard displays in the editor, and when identifying each device, both entries lit up the keyboard when I ran the identify option.

Windows and device enumeration, fun!

Hi. I just tested it on my Windows 11. I am facing the same Issue when returnung from sleep. All LED stay black on my G915 TKL and G903 until i restart Artemis.

@RobertBeekman Sadly verbose log shows nothing but Audio-Visualizer reinit but nothing from Logitech.

I was having an issue with the Logitech G Hub launching before Artemis when Windows starts, and Artemis wouldn't be able to control those peripherals. I was able to set a delayed start, but I'm guessing I need a similar delay for resuming from sleep.
