Selection of pages with pictures after processing

Open d4fe opened this issue 5 years ago • 10 comments

It is convenient to select pages with pictures (for processing in the "Mixed" mode) by looking at the thumbnails of the pages on the right, since they are clearly visible. However, if before the selection of such pages processing in the "Black-and-white" mode was already performed (for example, by mistake), then it becomes very difficult to distinguish pages with pictures without them. I suggest always displaying thumbnails of pages as they were before the first processing (as they look in the "Fields" section). Or make it possible to switch between different types of display pages. (Automatic translation). 222 111

I understand the problem but I think the most consistent approach is to show the actual thumbnails in step 6. Output, and not the ones from the step before. You will have to go to any of the previous steps and check the thumbnails there, to see if you missed a page with pictures.

Go to the previous steps and see what you need. But you can highlight what you saw only at the last step (conclusion). Is it possible to write down numbers on a piece of paper, and then look for them in the sixth step?

It would be nice if we could mark some pages as Mixed before step 6. Maybe right click on the thumbnail and choose Mixed, and then identify marked pages with some other color o a little icon.

Or like that.

STA preserves selection on switching a filter so you can select pages with pictures on any previous stage and then switch to output.

Thanks! I did not pay attention to the fact that the selection remains.

And yet, there is an inconvenience: Let's say we selected pages with pictures and processed.

  1. In order to check whether the pages with pictures were missed when choosing, it is necessary to select the pages with pictures in the sixth step, return to the fifth step and check if the appearance of the thumbnails is selected. (Maybe not too convenient, but in principle feasible).
  2. But how to find those pages for which the "Mixed" processing type was selected, but the STA did not find the image and performed the processing in "Black and White"?

There will soon be implemented various sorting modes for all the stages including sorting by mode at output.
Also Apply to dialog is going to be unified and reworked to ease adding custom filters to it, so I could add selection by mode there as well. Is the latter worth that or sorting is enough?

It will definitely be in demand. This should be done.

Yes!

I think selection by mode would be useful.
