It might have something to do with the fact the appliance template has 7 interfaces but the device has just 5 (including the management here)

it seems that you need to stick with the number of interfaces in the template (7) but the interfaces are mapped as following: GNS3 GUI ASR9000 0 Mgmt 1 ?...
