When selecting a link, arrows and governor/dependent could blink too

When I select a link, the dependent annotation blinks which is useful. But in a busy document with many annotations it's sometimes hard to notice it and also

I think it would be more visible if the arrows and both ends of the link blinked together.

Describe alternatives you've considered

To keep the entire link (arrows + annotations) permanently highlighted would make it even better. Currently, the dependent annotation blinks briefly but if you miss it, there is no replay.
