Just not working

I used this notifier on my prior laptop without issue, but it doesn't seem to work on my new laptop. I am running Windows 11 Pro. I have installed and uninstalled GMail notifer several times. The Google Gmail icon is on my taskbar. I just don't get notification(s) for any Gmail. The icon remains greyed out. Am I doing something wrong?
