Show notification or content about every unread message, not just latest per thread

Great extension! Just one pain point: I'm using the "unread" mode, but I'm only getting one notification per thread and shown only the latest message in that thread in the notification popup. This basically means I have to go and check every thread separately in gmail instead of just dealing with it in the extension to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Is there a way to either:

• have one separate notification for each unread message in every thread, or
• have the one notification per thread with unreads in it, but have all unread message contents from the thread shown in it instead of just the latest?

This is with Firefox in case it matters, tried both v2 and v3.
