Feature Request: Panel to list all emails
Instead of opening the first unread email, it would be nice to have an option* to show a list of all unread emails, letting me choose which ones I need to read right now. Even better would be for this to have the option to mark an email as read and/or archive it, so that it would disappear without me having to bother reading it.
This would be a lot better than having to scroll through every single email I've received, one at a time.
*The option would be under the dropdown of what to do when you click left click the button.
A quick and dirty solution would be to open the mobile version of Gmail in a panel. (To only list new items in the inbox, you would send a search parameter of "in:inbox is:unread".) The only problem with this is that any clicked on emails would open in a new window, and would show the mobile version, which provides no way to view images.
I never spent time on coding firefox extensions so I'll add my vote to this one until I'm able to submit pull requests to help. I'd love this extension to be as great as the chrome one.
