Map Marker Creation UX Improvement
(I know your working on this section but am giving feedback to what I experience right now.)
Map Markers Drop a marker does not work.
I give a position and it automatically drops in place. I try to drag the marker but that does not work.
I click the marker and open up the Marker:1 group. Add a Marker Title, and description. Marker Reference and ID I am not sure what is. I click Add Marker Image and it opens to show the media library, and does not show the customization of the marker.
Adding it in the above way the marker info looks like this:

Clicking Drop a Marker through the bottom menu brings a different dialog box then other options.

Somewhat confusing right now. Two different ways of seeing the marker information.
Hi Paal,
- Dragging markers is not yet supported. That's why we say "Drop a Marker". Once it's dropped, that's it's position. Dragging might happen, but it's pretty complex actually.
- After you click "Drop a Marker" you then click on the map to choose where you want that marker to appear. Then you can customize the "Infobubble" and the marker appearance.
- In the top image you've done everything correctly, but then you need to click that link "Add to Map" in order to save that marker as it is.
Can you take a look again and narrow in on ONE item that isn't working correctly. I need a specific behavior to try to duplicate and fix. Thanks!
What is confusing here is that:
There are two processes here.
1 Create Marker - Enter the name of a place or an address to create a map marker or Drop a Marker Hover the mouse over the marker and it shows a circle around the base. Click it and shows the name of the place and address and below it Add to Map. (I changed the name to: Add location to Map.)
An option:
1.
Dropping a marker one assumes the user has selected the location and it is added to the map.

In 1 we are wondering if we should select the location. In 2 we have selected a location and it is added to the map.
The process shows two different methods. What about just sticking to the first procedure?
Presume when adding a marker that the user wants to see the name and address and if they see it is in the correct location they will then Add location to Map. Then they will see the next screen. One procedure for all ways to add markers to the map.
We're going to improve the marker creation workflow, and I have a good idea how to do that based off @mathetos feedback. @paaljoachim we'll definitely use your feedback in our UX optimization.
