Android background service default notification always visible in notifications

The bug

Since client version 1.105.0 installed, Android always shows backup_background_service_default_notification in notifications area.

I am also experiencing this problem since today. Even rebooting the notification comes back and is always visible.

I am also facing this issue.

PS.: Is there a way to disable a failed backup sync. My server is not 24/7 on, so failed backups are expected. thx

My Immich server always on.

But since app updated to 1.106.1 I'm often getting "Backup error - Failed to connect to the server. Retrying..." notification, which doesn't go away by itself.

I've also been having this issue the last couple of weeks. Android 14, Updated today (5 July 2024) Google Pixel 8 Immich app 1.107.1 build 146 Immich server 1.107.2 My server is also on 24/7.

I believe Android apps are required to display a persistent notification to run reliably in the background.

I think that's true, but we should delete/remove/clean up the notification once all the work has finished.
