The bug
The Immich Android app becomes very laggy when trying to swipe after deleting a photo in the browsing interface. While organizing my photos, I deleted some pictures. After that, viewing the next photo became very laggy — the swipe gesture was unresponsive, and sometimes the app wouldn't react at all after I swiped. The swipe performance only returns to normal after I go back to the main screen and then re-enter the photo viewer.

Do you know if the photo you deleted is a cloud-only photo or a cloud + check mark photo?
Do you know if the photo you deleted is a cloud-only photo or a cloud + check mark photo?
The photos were imported from an external gallery. The photos are stored solely in the cloud and the backup feature has never been used.

It's the swiping on this interface that becomes laggy.
So you are removing the cloud-only file, correct? What is your phone model?
yes, my phone model is xiaomi13

I have noticed the same problem both on my iPad Air, as well as Pixel 7. After deleting pictures while viewing them fullscreen it is noticably laggy trying to swipe to the next or previous one, sometimes completely preventing me from doing that. Going back to the gallery view and clicking on a picture to re-enter the fullscreen view is the only way to quickly recover and go back to a usable app.

This issue has existed from the very beginning. I noticed it on the first day I started using it and even reported it on Discord, but never received a response. I'm not sure how long it will take to fix after this feedback, but logically, a serious bug like this should be addressed as soon as possible.
