Video Playback not working on VR mode using Safari and Vision Pro Simulator

I've been testing the samples on the new Vision Pro Simulator and I'm unable to get the Stereo Video Player to work. The video fails to load, so I am using a different source video (in .mp4 format) and that one loads fine. However, when I enter VR mode, the video stops rendering although I can still navigate in the 3d scene. I've seen similar reports, but haven't found any solid fix yet.
