Scroll direction inverts randomly
I'm running the latest (1802.M2) release on a mid-2012 MBP 9,2 and Windows 10 1803.
I'm experiencing a random issue where 2-finger scroll direction inverts from time to time while scrolling. I have scroll direction set as scroll down on the trackpad to scroll down on the page (i.e. not so-called "natural" scrolling). Almost all the time, this works fine, but every now and then I have this issue.
The only common factor is that it seems to happen mid-scroll after pausing for a few seconds. So, if I'm scrolling through a webpage or document and then stop, still with my fingers resting in place on the trackpad, pause for a while (several seconds), then continue dragging downwards, suddenly I find the content scrolling upwards. This has never happened when starting a 2-finger gesture and immediately corrects if I lift off the trackpad and start scrolling again.
I also notice that if I pause mid-scroll, I experience micro-juddering in many applications (e.g. Edge) where the content bounces up and down (probably no more than a pixel) quite quickly. Not sure if this is a symptom.
Adjusting the trackpad sensitivity (and even turning off other gestures - e.g. 3 and 4 finger gestures) do not resolve the issue.
How are you able to adjust the settings? They don't show up for me.
