Idea Categories not displaying when creating new Idea

Hi imath,

First, thanks for the great plugin. I'm in the process of configuring a professional community site, and I'm hoping I can use the wp-idea-stream plugin to power an "Ideas" section. However, I'm having issues with the Idea Categories section on WP Version 4.8.3.

I've tried this both on my current QA site as well as a fresh install of WordPress, and in both instances the page to add a new idea is not displaying the configured categories when submitting a new post. Instead it just displays the text that "No categories are available."

Have you ever experienced this before and do you have any insight on how I can fix this?

Hi, thanks for your feedback. I've just tried using the TwentySeventeen theme and category checkboxes are displayed on the new idea form.

Have you tried using a WordPress default theme with no other plugins activated and no mu-plugins ?

NB : Idea categories unlike tags cannot be created by users. The admin needs to create them from the WP Idea Stream > Categories section of the WP Admin area.

Have you tried by creating the categories from this Administration screen ?
