Does the bug go away if you enable Windows notifications in Telegram's notifications settings?
@soredake are you sure? it can become duplicate after first tdesktop launch with the option enabled, but after you re-pin tdesktop this should stop happening as the notification implementation sets...
@soredake and it doesn't appear again anymore at all? are you sure? because from reading the issue it seemed to me the issue is subtle.
I'm highly doubt there will be any news given that the issue is very minor. I've tried to propose @john-preston to always have explicit AppUserModelId set but he ignored me...

I don't think there's any formal system for github issues, they aren't event official, AFAIK @john-preston uses a GitHub notification bot in Telegram and from time to time looks at...
The only system of popularity here is "if no one bothers to even comment to a bot then there's no need to have the issue stay open"
