i can't switch handles

i've been stuck on this handle ever since the update came out. people told me to click on the handle and even open up a new pesterchum, but none of those worked. i also heard that my main profile might be corrupt. how do i delete my main profile or get it uncorrupt? i tried looking in my files everywhere.. even in the pesterchum data. i deleted the handle but it just keeps reappearing.
