Linux Mint 17.2, panel height doesn't get subtracted

As you can see the height of the panel doesn't get subtracted. 

Can't load gTile applet in cinnamon 2.4.8

It does install but if I try to load the applet it says "error while loading the applet..." If I try to delete the applet, it says "Details: [Errno 2]...
