Soundbars
Will be there any support of soundbars? Like Q70T.
Thanks
Looks to me like the Q70T is a TV. Not planning to support TVs. There really isn't good overlap between Smartthings and Homekit in the space of sound bars. Home kit has a speaker and smart speaker, and Smartthings has a audio volume capability, but other than controlling volume, I see no overlap.
Its a soundbar: https://www.samsung.com/cz/audio-video/soundbar-hw-q70t/HW-Q70TEN/
Tonesto had soundbars in his plugin. Ok then. Thanks for the info.
What were you able to do in home kit with it?Sent from my iPhoneOn Dec 10, 2022, at 11:31 AM, nseries100 @.***> wrote: Its a soundbar: https://www.samsung.com/cz/audio-video/soundbar-hw-q70t/HW-Q70TEN/ Tonesto had soundbars in his plugin. Ok then. Thanks for the info.

@nseries100 , if you want me to try and support, I need you to do the following in order for me to see what the soundbar advertises as its capabilities:
Truncate your logs Set Homebridge DEBUG on and restart. Run for about 30 seconds, then download the logfile Reset debug mode to off and restart Send me the log to [email protected]
Technically the Q70T is a TV (full model: QN65Q70TAFXZA), and the HW-Q70T is the soundbar. Gotta love reusing shortened model numbers for multiple devices. I have this Soundbar as well. Even within SmartThings, functionality is limited. For some reason it can't even control input source from a routine (whereas my Samsung tv can). It also creates 2 separate devices in ST, a soundbar and a music player.
In the Tonesto plugin, both of those devices were shown in HomeKit as "Not Supported" so I didn't bother trying to do anything with them.
If one of you guys can send me the debug logs upon start up I can see what the device is reporting as its capabilities and that will help to see if there is anything I can do.
