I don't think PWA gain us too much benefit, besides the service worker can introduce trouble instead.

Under certain situation, user may not be able to see any update of your blog for up to 24 hours with service worker installed.

In the meantime generating manifest.json sounds more like a job for Hexo instead of this theme.
