Duplicate posts increment post cooldown to 4 minutes

If I accidentally post the exact same comment twice consecutively using the quick reply box I get an expected error message, something like:

"Error: You must wait 3 minutes 55 seconds before posting a duplicate reply"

In previous releases one could just keep posting a different comment right after getting this error, but now a duplicate comment will rise the cooldown up to 240 seconds, one can't post using the quick reply box until 4 minutes have passed or post cooldown gets manually disabled in the options.

I'm using Firefox 32.0.1 with default settings and a new profile.
