Hiding posts by ID and ID highlighting

Is it possible to add an option to hide posts by ID, as opposed to filtering? Hiding can be done/undone easily without having to refresh the thread, and one can choose to hide replies (recursive hiding) and make stubs, regardless of what the global preferences are. Filtering posts by ID requires refreshing the page, which removes all deleted posts at the time.

Also there's an issue with ID highlighting. Clicking on an poster's ID won't highlight new posts inserted by the thread updater, only posts that were already in place when one opened the thread. ID highlighting doesn't work if one clicks on any of the new posts inserted by the updater either. Can this be fixed?
