Unix curses backend/future of this project
Hey! I'm fairly new to this project, but I noticed yesterday that the owner of ncurses-rs archived the repository. I also noticed that this project doesn't seem to have had any activity for the past 3 years.
I was wondering if someone else has picked it up in a fork or if something else is going on. I know of ratatui and cursive, but they don't really provide a low-level enough API to accomplish what we're trying to do. I know using raw crossterm is an option, but I figured I'd ask about the state of this repository first. Thanks for any information!
Hi, I suppose forking ncurses-rs would be an option, though it might be more straightforward to have pancurses include the ncurses bindings directly instead of relying on a separate crate. As for this repo, it's not technically dead but changes happen at a very slow pace.
Ah, I see. Thanks for the response! We might also see someone else pick up ncurses-rs in the coming weeks, so I guess you could also wait and see what happens with that. Thanks for your work on this crate!
