Too much space between menu bar items on Big Sur

Open D0miH opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. On the new macOS version Big Sur the menu bar items are bigger. Therefore, there is way to much space between the items (see screenshot).

Describe the solution you'd like The best solution would be to combine the menu bar items of each component (CPU, Memory etc.) to one menu bar item. This works best when #102 is implemented since then the user would be able to arrange the images within one menu bar item using drag and drop. Of course the information of the components have to be bundled into one menu bar menu in this case.

What happens to the little views that open when a menu bar item is clicked with your provided solution? Would you just discard them? Displaying one big view with all the information wouldn't probably look good (Edit: I mean the view that opens when clicking on a menu bar item. There's of course no problem to bundle all items together to a single menu bar item. Actually, does maxOS allow menu bar items that are really long? They might have a maximum length)
