Hello, there are some strange problems.

  1. If the post is a video, if you download it
  2. If the post contains a video in a carousel, it does not download it
  3. Does not download reel

It's because of an API change, so it can't download video anymore.

@james16000 I closed the issue because I answered it else where and you could have just looked it up there. It would have taken you like 10sec and you would have known the answer #302. But you way is more convenient for you so you did not try to lookup any other issues. But it is a lot more work for me, therefor I closed the issue...

It is not like I get a lot of money developing this extension for free, not tracking users and updating quickly if Instagram changes something. Do you know how much work it is to maintain an extension for 300k people who just expect that everything is going to work for free and as fast as possible? There are like four issues which describe the problem you are facing. Why open another one? And if you create a new bug report why not use the bug report template I provided? It is like you do not even want to spend this extra amount of time which allows me to fix the issue.

But all that aside. It seems like the message Videos cannot be downloaded, because IG started blocking it is not clear enough for people to understand that IG put some precautions in place which will prevent you from downloading videos. Do any of you have a better error message in mind, so every user understands that this is a limitation IG put in place and that there is nothing I can do to fix this?

Just want to point out that some extensions do have video downloading. For example: 'Video & Photo Downloader For IG' on the Chrome extensions store downloads videos.

But it's got other problems, so it isn't a good substitute for your extension, which was pretty much perfect.
