Hi @ifrost , I am very interested in a way to compare fountain files, and have the diff exportable as a pdf.
As I understand, there currently is no way to do that, is that correct? In which case, I'm happy to try and help, if you could give me a pointer to start from.
When I created this item I was thinking about a diff editor like this one: https://codemirror.net/demo/merge.html
I haven't thought about exporting it to PDF. Do you have an idea/example how would it look like?
I have some pending, major changes to master branch so it might be a good idea to wait a bit.

My understanding is that a diff like this speaks to developers, but not for film or tv crew. And even as a developer, I may want a diff to compare code, but for prose/narrative, I prefer all in a single column.
So I was thinking more of an output similar to what final draft offers, with its 'script compare' functionality, which looks like this: http://supportsystem.livehelpnow.net/resources/1001/Features/scriptcompare2.jpg (deleted text in stroked red, new in blue).
Would you be open to something like that?

This is great, I like it! I haven't seen it in Final Draft actually so thanks for sharing.
I'll try update master before Christmas and then we can have a look at this.
