Incorrect IfcSlab placements

Open ptlprg opened this issue 4 years ago • 4 comments

Hi,

The viewer does not correctly place 2 IfcSlab elements from the following zipped IFC file (UIDs '0rgbeO1PHAtAAseSmGoQAq' and '0rgbeO1PHAtAAseSmGoQ1M'): test.zip

Expected placement: image

Thanks!

There are many geometric issues with this file, but the slab with GUID "0rgbeO1PHAtAAseSmGoQAq" is in the correct position. 2021-07-19 17_57_35-IQ-IFC - Microsoft Visual Studio

Hi,

Thanks for the reply!

Each import seems to behave differently. This time, I had #148057 (IFCSLAB '3IucpERVDEbvOIw6JlumH7') at the wrong place. image (The roof is gone too but my app doesn't really care about them. ;) )

Do you think the geometric issues are causing the wrong placements? Could this be improved by tuning some precision settings?

Btw, I'm using the viewer from ifcquery.com for these tests (haven't compiled it myself).

But I'm seeing similar issues importing this specific file in my own app (which is based on ifcplusplus).

Hi,

Just a friendly reminder of these placement issues, which do not happen in BIMvision.

Could we expect a fix?

Thanks a lot for you work on this great project!
