Attended API needs to be more robust and report more detail in the results

Right now, an "attendees" argument that has duplicates in it will cause the POST to fail. A post with any invalid attendees causes the whole POST to fail - consider instead operating on the valid ones, and reporting the invalid ones in the result. cc @alexamirante
