It might just be this address, but I have no way of systematically testing these links without generating lots of unwanted mail.

The alias generator only builds aliases for drafts that are active or quit being active within the last two years.
For drafts that become RFCs, we should probably look into making an rfc alias.
In any case, the datatracker shouldn't show aliases it knows won't work.
I agree! Just faced the same issue and came here to check if it is a known bug!
