When the API limit is reached a bunch of HTTP requests to IDX Broker either fail or timeout, causing the site to slow down.

This is a screen shot of analytics taken by the query monitor plugin. The number on the bottom right is the total amount of time the requests are taking ( 6.76 seconds )
