Self-hosted support for private repos?
If the MCP server was hosted locally or on the same network for a locally cloned repo, could this feasibly work offline?
Currently, no. If that's something you need, we'd love to hear the use case and see what we can do. Please don't hesitate to message me.

The main use case is local libraries in an enterprise environment. If we have a local clone of a library it will contain both its documentation, as well as the live source code (useful in the cases where it's being developed locally) If we could host the MCP server for this/these libraries, we can point Copilot or other LLMs which support MCP to have access to this information, which would solve the final piece of the puzzle we're currently struggling with: How to give coding AIs real-time knowledge of private libraries/code.
Hope that helps! Let me know if unclear.
Thanks for the extra detail! That makes total sense. We're looking into this feature. Please let us know if you have any other thoughts or feedback!
please add it 🙏
