Please update the list for upcoming GSoC 2026

Thank you for creating this repository! it’s a really helpful resource for web development students preparing for Google Summer of Code (GSoC).
Currently, the repo includes organizations and their project lists from GSoC 2021. It would be great if we could update it with organizations and projects from GSoC 2025, especially those focused on web development, MERN, JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
This updated list will help many contributors analyze recurring orgs and project trends and prepare better proposals for GSoC 2026.
Hi @shrutika-gawande, the repo intends to give a high level overview of organisations participating in GSoC, not specifically the projects.
Yes, the projects can become outdated after every year. Unfortunately I don't have capacity anymore to update the list. This list was manually created when I was looking for projects to apply for GSoC 2021.
Happy to review changes or have a new maintainer of the repo who can work on maintaining the existing list, if anyone is interested.
Instead of manually updating the list every year. Ideally we can have an intelligent automation which parse the ideas list of all organisations, filtering the projects based on web technologies and grouping them per year.
This would be pretty cool.
Hi @idontknowjs , I actually built a script that does this automatically it parses all organization ideas, filters by web technologies, and groups them by year. It keeps the README up-to-date without manual work if you guys like it.
