Offer a standard interface for connecting to devices (both physical and virtual).

Offer a standardized interface
Provide formal semantics for the standardized interface
Provide configuration infrastructure to map actors in model onto physical devices. Could be manual.
Provide a publish and subscribe model of computation (use Wireless domain as a reference). Consider issues such as: Timestamps, non-deterministic pub/sub
Provide a server-side way to run a pub/sub Ptolemy model (see "server-side execution" user story)
