Salut, I have a loosely connected question. How did you integrated markdown as I’m searching for a solution to replace Thunderbird’s crappy composer by something more state of the art. Any chance to do it this markdown editor?

It is not the same as this extension, but it is the closest thing I found for Markdown in Thunderbird: markdown-here

• Preview is achieved by toggling
• No mermaid AFAIK
• It supports themes, latex/ketex/math and markdown

If you want to integrate other features the easiest thing would be to download that extension and modify it by yourself. Also, you can try asking the developer.
