actively maintained fork?

Does anyone know if someone is keeping an actively maintained fork of this package? It has been very useful for my work, but there are several issues that hinders it from working in a reliable way and it seems to have been abandoned. If I had the time, I would contribute to it myself, but unfortunately that's not possible for now.

I had some minor issues or features that I missed myself but always found a workaround or could do without them. This extension is so essential to me that it's one of the few reasons I stay on Atom. I sometimes use the awesome Remote SSH in vscode but it's a real memory hog on hosted environments. Thanks.
