[Feature Request] Please add more features like doing math, google searches etc.

With Mac OS Spotlight you can do a lot of things like search apps, files, do math, google searches, dictionary definitions, convert units, execute terminal commands etc. I think those things are what make Spotlight a truly useful tool. It would be nice to have this functionality as well.

I'm assuming this directly uses the built in Gnome search so you're gonna get whatever Gnome search provides. Math and unit conversions are among them, by the way.

I'm pretty sure that if you install stand-alone gnome search extensions that provide any of those functionalities then it's gonna appear here as well.

This extension does use the built-in gnome search. Math is supported.

This is also just the first release, I will continue to improve and add features.

@martinszeltins Just gotta enable Firefox/any web browser and Caclulator in GNOME's Settings > Search for it to work. Search Light will use the default browser's default search engine to search

With that, I think this issue can be closed?

I can't seem to find my default browser(Google Chrome) in the list and can't seem to find a way to add it to the list.

Also, I'd suggest adding a way to make the search on the web like the Ulauncher feature where I can create a shortcut to search through a certain website. YouTube for example. so The final outcome for me is that when I want to search in google I just type

g The thing I'd like to search and that will search google

y anything I'd like to search and that will search youtube

Google would be added if this extension would be updated, you would have a google search provider. unfortunately, this search provider extension puts google searches on the bottom, so it does not do anything when you hit enter. Google Search Provider
