Searchlight would not start without User Themes extension

Downloaded Searchlight with Extension Manager it would not activate and had error regarding

SyntaxError: import declarations may only appear at top level of a module
 _init@resource:///org/gnome/Shell/Extensions/js/extensionPrefsDialog.js

It worked after installing User Themes extension and removing and installing Searchlight again
