Hi,

are there any plans to add an ibm db2 backend for ibis?

I found the feature request issue https://github.com/ibis-project/ibis/issues/2803 but it was closed down without any further notice.

Are there any docs about adding a backend? Would you accept a PR?

What is the motivation behind your request?

We are using ibis with postgres backend but need db2 for other workloads.

Describe the solution you'd like

a new backend added to the ibis core package that can be used like postres etc.

What version of ibis are you running?

10.5.0

What backend(s) are you using, if any?

• postgres in prod
• experimenting with duckdb and polars
