Does not work (Win 7 & 8.1 - Firefox 57.1 portable or not) ... returns to all default settings after reboot/restart.

This is probably the same issue causing settings to be lost when clearing the browser cookies. I am working on it but it requires rewriting a fairly substantial portion of the code so it might take a while.

#46, #47, #51 all have the same root cause.
