Multiple users editing simultanously ?

Is it possible for two users to work on two different snapshots simultaneously? One user is creating a new snapshot (i.e. on 1st October) and hitting edit and the other user that is logged in at the same time, is trying to edit the feed, he's getting the message that feed is locked and currently edited by another user. How to tackle this? i.e. one user would want to edit an upcoming schedule, while the other is editing the current one ?
