App version

2.8.1.1 (37)

Android version

Android 14 One UI 6.0

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Open settings of the Lunar Launcher by holding the clock
  2. Click on APPEARANCES
  3. Click on Light
  4. Change background color. (E.g. # CBC6B3)
  5. Click on Dark
  6. Change background color. (E.g. # 514E3F)
  7. Turn on dark mode in android settings (if light is active) OR turn turn on light mode in android settings (if dark is active)

Expected behavior

The background should change to the color it was set as dark (# 514E3F) or set as light (# CBC6B3). I.E. the background color should match the dark/light mode.

Screenshots/Screen recordings

Logs

No response

Additional information

Actual behavior: When changing dark/light mode on android, the background color of the lunar launcher does not save for dark AND light separately.

Additional: When changing the background color, then setting it back to default, the background color will not match dark/light mode anymore.

The background color will match dark/light mode if you do not interfere with the setting at all.

I'm sorry to say that I couldn't understand your issue properly. Screen record would be helpful.

In the video you can see that my application theme is set to dark mode, and my background color is set to #FF000000 (Black).

I turn on Light mode and change the background color to #FFFFFFFF (White).

Now I've set dark mode to the background color #FF000000, and light mode to #FFFFFFFF.

I show you my screen to confirm the background is white.

I go back into the options to turn on dark mode again.

As you can see, even tho I reverted my application theme to dark, the background color did not.
