GNOME 41.3 support?
This extension installed properly, and displays a system tray icon but the actual PIP window is nowhere to be found. Am I missing something or is 41.3 not yet supported? Thanks! Great work btw, I've used this on past distros and really love it!
Manjaro Rolling, Gnome 41.3
Thanks for the report! Just trying out Manjaro in a VM here (btw, very impressive distro), and I'm seeing the tray icon and window.
Are you seeing any errors anywhere? Usually if it's a failure in the extension itself, it will show up in journalctl
somewhere. Would also be useful to know what it says when you do Ctrl+F2
and then lg
and look under Extensions for miniview errors emitted. Also, are you installing off of the GNOME Extensions site or through the repo here?
Hi there! Thank you for your response! I too have been very happy with manjaro! I've been using Linux about a year now and I've slowly been trying to get into Arch =).
I spent several hours trying to figure out why this was happening yesterday but was unable to find a resolution. But I woke up this morning and noticed a sliver of an image on the far left of my screen. Turns out it WAS working beautifully, but for some reason the PIP window was placed almost completely off screen of my tertiary monitor.
I do apologize for any time wasted! As it appears this was an issue on my end due to my display configuration. For some reason nothing ever opens "centered" on my primary display, which is a bit aggrivating; but is most definitely not exclusive to your extension alone.
I was able to click, drag and move what little of the window I could see, and now it's right where I want it.
Thank you for your great work! Definitely getting 5/5 review!
EDIT: Forgot to answer your inquiry. I installed via GNOME extensions site =)
