Feature Request: The Ability To Crop A Window

It would be great to be able to have a method to crop the window being displayed. This would be useful with the use case of a user wanting to overlay a video but only see the video, not the entire window.

This would be very cool. I could imagine an interface similar to the android photos crop tool, which you could activate with shift+click. It would take a bit of work to get right, so I think I'd have to put this in the long-term goals section. But let me know if you want to take a crack at it.

In the meantime, my standard procedure here for something like a youtube video is: go fullscreen on the video, pop that browser window down one desktop, shift back up one desktop. The last two steps can be done quickly with a ctrl+alt+shift+down followed by a ctrl+alt+up.
