Reflective Connected Glass

Is there a way to update the mod to add reflective/mirroring capabilities with the connected glass for this mod? https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/connected-glass

My goal is to make a mirror portal without seams. Using flint and steel will turn native minecraft glass into mirrors, but it does not work on connected glass.

I looked online for other solutions like going into the video settings > quality > Turn on connected textures, however, I don't have that option in the quality section. I was then told to use optifine for this, but was not able to find a fabric version of it. I then tried Optifabric, which is suppose to be a fabric version of optifine, however, it seems optifabric is not compatible with the Immersive Portals mod, so the game crashed.
